The happiest birthday on earth!

This past weekend we celebrated my

daughter's 2nd birthday! Party planning has always been one of my favorite things to do and I tend to get carried away and fully invest myself in it. This year I decided on a vintage Disney vibe and went with the theme "happiest birthday on earth". I have been wanting to do this theme for years now and was so excited to finally put it into action! I spent months planning and working to bring my visions to life. I really wanted it to feel as close to going to Disney as possible.

Let's start with the snacks! I made churros, Mickey Rice Krispies, Mickey pretzels, Mickey waffles, "turkey legs" (aka smoked chicken legs), hot dogs, and dole whip. The churros turned out great! I used a piping bag with an extra large star tip to make them. I made them the night before and I'd say the only thing I did wrong was put them in a closed container overnight. Instead of that perfectly crunchy outside they originally had they got a little soft. Still delicious though! The pretzels were SO good and fairly easy. I tripled the recipe to make enough. The dole whip turned out perfect! I used my ninja blender and easily did a daouble batch in it. I used my piping bag and star tip again for the dole whip to give it that Disney look!

I ordered the table back drop, cup cake/cake stand, and popcorn boxes from Temu! The cake stand is actually a working merry go round and the cupcakes go up and down!

Each guest got a magic band and got to choose Disney charms for on them. My original idea was to do pin trading but I went with this more kid friendly option. Everyone loved it!

I repurposed some old sit n spins and turned them into teacups! This was probably my most favorite project and I'm in love with how they turned out! We also had a Mickey railroad and space mountain coaster!

This castle backdrop came from Temu as well. I made the castle side pieces and arch out of cardboard boxes and painted the balloons on poster bard.

There were hidden mickeys all throughout the house for everyone to find. I did a little diy silhouette studio and hand cut everyone's silhouette picture for a souvenir. I put them in these cardboard frames and they were perfect!

This is the tutorial I went off of to make the silhouettes. I used the Bazaart app to remove the background from my pictures and put a black and white filter on them. I used small sharp point scissors to cut them out.

Everyone left with a Disney little golden book and a Mickey balloon! These balloons were perfect and great quality! I ordered the books from a few different places. Some came from Walmart, some from Amazon and I even managed to score some brand new off of Facebook marketplace!

This was one of my favorite parties I have done so far and I think everyone that came truly enjoyed themselves!
